LAYOUT
Luka and the Lights is a ten minute short film feature produced by the studio Big Grin Productions. As the project was moving into the production stage, I was brought onto the team to work as a rough/final layout artist for two sequences.
The first was a 45 second racing sequence between the two friends Luka and Theo. The director was very flexible and encouraged me to make alternate interpretations to the storyboard as needed. The second sequence is a 10 second flashback scene between Luka and Theo.
Through working on this project I gained experience working with and receiving insight from layout professionals in the industry. I presented my layout progress twice a week over a video conference and received feedback and critique form the DP/Director. I also had the responsibility of cleaning and setting up each of my shot files on their pipeline to be ready for the animators.
